It has always been my all-time dream to move Richmond Virginia to take up an advanced study on forensic pathology. It all started with a dream and then one day I found myself surrounded with all these beautiful edifices in the South which are also termed as plantation houses. I stayed with a friend whose house is situated in one of the nation’s premiere community of Southern houses and was privileged to be invited by him to pay a visit to the Ferry Plantation Home. It was a very wonderful learning experience. The unique appeal of Southern Home Plans has a history which could be traced back to post-colonial America. Their labors will never go to waste because rebuilding the structure means recreating the history of America. Further, it is observed that reconstruction of the building served as the primary inspiration in the architectural revolution in the South. Whenever I travel I know am still in the Southern area when a common sight would be these tall multi-storeyed houses, usually built from wood and bricks. The houses are remarkably huge with an almost cathedral like ceilings, spacious living rooms, comfortable and well-ventilated bedrooms and large windows, like the ones you can see at http://www.theplancollection.com. Most if not all of the abodes have several and extensive porches all under a gambrel or barn-like roof. Variations and modifications of this kind can be readily seen in Alabama, Mississippi, Kentucky, Georgia, Tennessee and Texas which bear a mishmash of Louisiana Creole and Low Country Style combined with metal roofing. I am grateful at how these structures have made my stay a very comfortable and relaxing one by abating the galling effect of a very dense atmosphere in the South.
