Search Google and Yahoo at The Same Time

YellowPages Corporation, owned by AT&T has introduced a tool, SearchBoth.com.au, that allows users to use Google and Yahoo! search engines at the same time. SearchBoth.com.au is a cooperative partnership between Google, Yahoo and AT&T. When users type in their related search words, SearchBoth.com.au will give them the results from Google and Yahoo in a split screened frame, side by side allowing them to look at both search engine results at the same time to figure out the best and most relevant search find. SearchBoth has also launched in Canada, US, and UK with SearchBoth.ca, SearchBoth.com, and SearchBoth.co.uk, respectively. The company is currently working on adding other search engines like Ask and MSN along with others as an option. The user can select any two search engines and view them side by side. Future Tech Advances From Asia – Bill Gates

Future technology breakthroughs will increasingly come from Asia, Microsoft Corp. Chairman BillGates said Saturday, adding that research being done at the software giant’s regional development centers was among the best in the world. Gates’ comments come at the end of a visit to China during which he announced several new ventures, including US$3 (€2.21) software packages for government-subsidized student computers. In a speech to a regional economic forum in southern China, Gates said Americans were increasingly expecting Asia to produce major new leaps in computers and other technology, citing in part the region’s strong showing in engineering and the sciences.

Google will open R&D center in Singapore

Singapore would be more important IT business hub in the region. Internet search company Google Inc. plans to open a research and development center in Singapore, its first in Southeast Asia, a newspaper reported Tuesday. Google’s managing director of Southeast Asian sales and operations, Richard Kimber, was quoted in The Straits Times newspaper as saying Singapore was picked for its “very vibrant ICT (information, communications and technology) space.” Google’s research centers outside of the United States typically focus on adapting its products for local markets, but also are involved in developing new offerings and fine-tuning existing ones, the report said. Three of its eight research and development centers around the world are in Asia, the paper reported. Public relations firms representing Google in Singapore and in Sydney, where Kimber is based, did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Seorang eksekutif muda sedang beristirahat siang di sebuah kafe terbuka. Sambil sibuk mengetik di laptopnya, saat itu seorang gadis kecil yang membawa beberapa tangkai bunga menghampirinya. ”Om beli bunga Om.” ”Tidak Dik, saya tidak butuh,” ujar eksekutif muda itu tetap sibuk dengan laptopnya. ”Satu saja Om, kan bunganya bisa untuk kekasih atau istri Om,” rayu si gadis kecil. Setengah kesal dengan nada tinggi karena merasa terganggu keasikannya si pemuda berkata, ”Adik kecil tidak melihat Om sedang sibuk? Apple invites Windows users to Safari

The company is inviting Windows users to sample its Safari Web browser and urging third-party developers to try their hand at the iPhone. A beta version of Safari for Windows is available now, CEO Steve Jobs announced during his keynote speech at the company’s 2007 Worldwide Developers Conference. Safari will also allow Web developers to create applications for the iPhone using common Web development standards that can interact with the rest of the applications that will ship with the iPhone. Jobs previewed several features that will be shipped with Leopard, the next version of Mac OS X, which is scheduled for launch in October and will be priced at $129.
