Do we really need e-mail anymore

With reports stating that up to 50 percent of our work day can be spent reading, writing and replying to e-mails, one wonders if work productivity is actually decreasing due to e-mail. It doesn’t help that so many e-mails are junk and spam. Or that studies have shown that workers who are overwhelmed by constant …

Save money on your ink cartridge

When you shop (C6656an, hp c6656an) you can count on the best quality compatible and remanufactured inkjet cartridges. Every Carrot Ink product that hits your doorstep has been manufactured under the stringent ISO 9001/9002 standards. And yet the quality speaks for itself; when tested next to name-brand cartridges, Carrot Ink printouts look as good or better. Guaranteed. If you are near your printer, look at it for a moment and think about the last time you had to replace the ink cartridge. Was it a hassle? Was it expensive? Was it time-consuming? Was it confusing? Probably the answer was yes to all four questions! People often consider printer ink as a curse rather than a useful product since it never seems to be full when you have a big print job, and it can be very expensive to replace. After all, everybody knows that the printer manufacturers (such as HP C6656AN …

Most Innovative Headphones

Most Innovative Headphones With the ety8, Etymotic has created an unlikely pairing of in-ear-canal headphones (canalphones) and Bluetooth. The only cable for these canalphones is the one connecting the left and right sides behind your neck. Instead of bulky earpieces, the ety8 has small enclosures on each earpiece the right side houses the Bluetooth components; the left side contains a rechargeable battery. A small Bluetooth transmitter connects the ety8 to your iPod’s dock-connector port, and buttons on the right-hand earpiece let you control playback and volume ($260). Best High-End Headphones I’ve seen a ton of canalphones, but that didn’t stop us from getting excited about Shure’s new flagship model, the E500PTH. Using three separate drivers in each earpiece, the E500PTH offers stunning sound quality in the lightest and most comfortable design we’ve tested. The E500PTH package comes with an impressive list of accessories, which includes Shure’s new Push-To- Hear Control …

The perfect right speakers

So, you’re thinking about a sound system for your homeor PC. The first thing you should consider is what you expect to get from such a system. Let’s look at how you are planning to use sound equipment, and we’ll note a few recommendations along the way. Remember that the woofer(s) determine all parts of the bass system. Base your decision about amplifiers and enclosures around the woofer or speaker you select. See the 5 levels below: 1. ROCK! LOUD AND HARD. You want the bigggest badddest bass system you can afford. Of course, you risk a certain lack of appreciation from your neighbors, or maybe the whole town, however, to consider the rights of others to a quiet environment. How to choose the perfect tripod a head

The function of a tripod is deceptively simple—to hold your camera steady in any position you want. Yet, finding a tripod that can do this easily, precisely, and comfortably is far from simple. At best, any tripod is a compromise between size, weight, flexibility, convenience, and cost: the secret is to settle on a model that is as compatible with your needs as possible. What should you look for when shopping for a tripod?, you can buy the best tripod and compare it at this web site http://wize.com/tripods Size Your tripod should be high enough to position your camera at eye level. Bank ATM’s Converted to Steal IDs of Bank Customers

A team of organized criminals are installing equipment on legitimate bank ATM’s in at least 2 regions to steal both the ATM card number and the PIN. The team sits nearby in a car receiving the information transmitted wirelessly over weekends and evenings from equipment they install on the front of the ATM (see photos). If you see an attachment like this, do not use the ATM and report it immediately to the bank using the phone on the front of the ATM. The equipment used to capture your ATM card number and PIN are cleverly disguised to look like normal ATM equipment. A “skimmer” is mounted to the front of the normal ATM card slot that reads the ATM card number and transmits it to the criminals sitting in a nearby car.

Network design and defense

Computer network design can vary wildly from one corporation to the next. That said most networks follow the same design principles. By design principles I mean there is generally a demilitarized zone of DMZ where servers such as the mail, dns, and web server are found. This DMZ is kept relatively unprotected, and in turn is firewalled off from the rest of the internal network or intranet. This DMZ is there for good reason as services which companies have to offer like their web and email server are accessible via the Internet. If they are accessible then they are vulnerable to attack. We all know that there is a tremendous amount of “white noise” aka port scans, bot activity, and so on seen on the Internet at any given time. Bearing the constant threat it only makes sense then to have your publicly accessible servers firewalled off from the rest …
